The Physical Asset Management Unit manages hospital medical and cold-chain equipment and provides funding for their repair and maintenance. It houses the Planning and Management of Assets in Health Services (PLAMAHS), which maintains updated status of the equipment, used for planning repair and maintenance. The Management Division oversees the outsourcing of maintenance of medical and cold-chain equipment through competitive bidding process.
The PAM Unit is responsible for:
- identifying the status of and maintaining medical equipment
- rolling out the outsourcing of MC nationwide.
- coordinating with government agencies and other stakeholders for the maintenance of health facility and hospital medical equipment.
- Manage and mobilize biomedical engineer and other human resources.
