As the Secretariat for Impoverished Citizen Treatment Fund, the division provides free treatment and medication to the impoverished patients of the listed diseases: kidney; cancer; heart; head and spinal injuries; alzheimer’s and parkinsons; sickle-cell anaemia through pre-selected hospitals. This fund is accessible to the public following prescribed protocols and including terms and conditions of Government of Nepal.
- up to NPR 100,000 per patient via notified hospitals for free medication and treatment of severe diseases including cancer, heart disease, head and spinal injuries, and Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and sickle cell anaemia diseases;
- medication costs up to NPR 100,000for post-renal transplant cases;
- free dialysis services up to 104 sessions (for one year) per patient;..
- renal transplantation costs up to NPR 200,000 per patient; and financial support and treatment for very important national persons.
